Role: Software Engineer (Java/Azure)
Location: Remote (East Coast hours)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Extension Possible)

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Software Engineer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Azure Cloud. The ideal candidate will be responsible for modernizing existing applications, upgrading Java/JDK and Spring Boot versions, and migrating applications from on-premises environments to Azure.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Java/OpenJDK
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot
• Experience with Azure Cloud development and deployment
• Application modernization and migration expertise
• Experience with containerized environments
• Knowledge of Spring Cloud Config

Preferred Skills

• Azure migration projects (On-Prem to Cloud)
• Docker/Kubernetes
• GitLab Duo or AI-assisted development tools
