Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to support an upcoming Vatica clinical project. This position is ideal for RNs with diverse clinical backgrounds who are comfortable reviewing high volumes of medical records and applying strong clinical judgment.

The RN will conduct comprehensive chart reviews, evaluate complex patient histories, and identify relevant clinical information with a high level of accuracy. Successful candidates should be independent, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable researching unfamiliar diagnoses and medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical record and clinical chart reviews to identify and accurately capture relevant patient health information.
• Review complex patient histories involving multiple specialties, including Emergency Room (ER), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Step-Down/PCU, Long-Term Care, Wound Care, Cardiac Care, and other acute care settings.
• Analyze and synthesize multi-system patient histories using strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills.
• Independently manage a high-volume chart review workload while maintaining accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
• Research unfamiliar diagnoses, medical conditions, and clinical documentation as needed to ensure accurate interpretation.
• Apply nursing knowledge and clinical experience when reviewing complex medical documentation.
• Maintain a strong balance between productivity, clinical accuracy, and thoroughness.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while consistently meeting project quality expectations.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Extensive clinical nursing experience with a diverse patient population.
• Experience in one or more specialties such as ER, ICU, PCU/Step-Down, Long-Term Care, Wound Care, Cardiac Care, Acute Care, or Travel Nursing.
• Previous experience with utilization review, chart review, medical record review, case management, or clinical documentation review is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to quickly interpret complex medical histories and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to clinical accuracy.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to perform effectively with minimal oversight.
• Strong research, organizational, and time-management skills.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Registered Nurse with broad clinical experience who can confidently navigate complex patient charts, recognize important clinical information, and make sound assessments independently. Nurses with backgrounds in acute care, ICU, ER, PCU, utilization review, medical record review, wound care, or long-term care are strongly encouraged to apply.
