Job Title: Solution Architect

Location: Remote (Eastern/Central Time Zone Preferred)
Travel: 20% Travel Required (Travel every 4-6 weeks)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and cloud-based solution design. This role will be responsible for architecting, designing, and guiding the delivery of scalable, resilient, and compliant technology solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Agile teams, enterprise architects, and technical leaders to develop solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and support the deployment of technology solutions with Agile delivery teams.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and architecture stakeholders to understand current and future-state capabilities and define appropriate solution architectures.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical architecture designs for strategic initiatives.
• Evaluate solution options and communicate architecture recommendations, trade-offs, and business value.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, standards, and governance requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide architectural guidance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and innovative approaches to improve solution capabilities.
• Support architecture governance and compliance activities.
• Work with enterprise architects, domain experts, and engineering teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Promote the reuse of existing technology capabilities and common services when appropriate.
• Adhere to organizational risk, security, regulatory, and internal control standards.
• Identify and escalate architecture, security, or risk-related concerns as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience totaling 9+ years.
• Experience with multiple programming languages.
• Experience in software engineering, system design, or service delivery.
• Experience developing and integrating applications using modern architecture principles and design patterns.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across business and technical teams.
• Ability to evaluate multiple technical solutions and provide architecture recommendations.
• Experience researching and applying modern technology trends and best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including application design, cloud connectivity, resiliency, and architecture best practices.
• Experience designing scalable, secure, and compliant end-to-end solution architectures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business, technology, and risk organizations.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of application integration and distributed systems architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a technical discipline.
• Experience in multiple technical roles related to enterprise or solution architecture.
• Experience delivering enterprise-level technical presentations.
• Industry-recognized cloud and/or programming certifications.
• Experience within the financial services industry.
• Experience supporting large-scale cloud migration initiatives and hybrid infrastructure environments
