Our client is currently seeking a Functional Business Analyst

Role: Functional Business Analyst (SAP MDG / S4HANA)

Location: Basking Ridge, NJ or Irving, TX
Work Model: Hybrid (3 Days/Week Onsite)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Functional Business Analyst to support and lead critical SAP initiatives within a fast-paced telecommunications environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAP MDG, FIORI, Contract and Pricing Data Management, and large-scale SAP implementations. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who can collaborate across business and technical teams to drive system enhancements, process improvements, data governance, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing business systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements.
• Perform gap analysis and recommend scalable SAP solutions.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during requirement elicitation sessions.
• Create functional specifications, process flows, wireframes, and supporting documentation.
• Lead and support SAP implementation projects through design, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Ensure successful execution of change management and configuration activities.
• Monitor system performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Validate system functionality against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Develop user manuals, configuration documents, training materials, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and issue resolution.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage Contract and Pricing Data within SAP environments.
• Ensure article and data attributes are properly configured and maintained.
• Document system updates and modifications resulting from test activities.
• Manage daily article creation and update processes while ensuring SLA compliance.
• Maintain production, quality, and development system data integrity.
• Execute weekly SAP data validation reports across regions to ensure data accuracy.
• Generate monthly reports covering:
• Article additions and updates
• Vendor updates
• Direct and indirect site updates
• Pricing changes by category
• Provide leadership and management teams with status reporting and data insights.
• Support data governance, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 7-10 years of Business Analysis experience.
• Strong experience with:
• SAP S/4HANA
• SAP MDG (Master Data Governance)
• SAP FIORI
• SQVI Reporting
• Contract and Pricing Data Management
• Experience serving as a Functional Lead for major SAP implementations, including:
• R15D
• R18
• Reverse 2.0
• Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Extensive experience working with large datasets, reporting, and data validation.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive results with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (G Suite) applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience in the telecommunications industry.
• In-depth knowledge of regional wireless telecommunications markets, business operations, and service providers.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale SAP transformation programs.
