The Government Property & Compliance Specialistis responsible for managing, tracking, reconciling, and maintaining accountability of Government-Furnished Property (GFP) and Contractor-Acquired Property (CAP) throughout the asset lifecycle. This role serves as the subject matter expert for property data management, system administration, reporting, and compliance activities within government platforms, including the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), GFP Module, and related systems. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and data management skills, ensures compliance with FAR and DFARS property regulations, supports audit readiness initiatives, and collaborates cross-functionally to maintain accurate and reliable property records.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete records for Government-Furnished Property (GFP) and Contractor-Acquired Property (CAP).
- Administer and update property records within PIEE applications, including the GFP and WAWF modules.
- Utilize government systems, databases, and reporting tools to research, track, analyze, and report property information.
- Review, reconcile, and validate property documentation, records, and databases to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Support property accountability activities, including transfers, inventories, loss reporting, disposition processing, and other GFP-related transactions.
- Investigate record discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions to maintain accurate and auditable property data.
- Generate reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, and status updates for customers, auditors, program teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with audit preparation, data calls, compliance reviews, and property management assessments.
- Partner with program management, contracts, supply chain, and other functional organizations to ensure effective property control and accountability.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in government property management, asset management, logistics, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of FAR Part 45, FAR 52.245-1, DFARS 252.211-7003, and DFARS 252.245-7003 requirements.
- Hands-on experience with PIEE and associated government property management modules.
- Proficiency with asset management, inventory control, and property tracking systems.
- Advanced to expert-level Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, reconciliation, and spreadsheet management.
- Strong understanding of property recordkeeping, accountability, and lifecycle management processes.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to reconcile complex datasets, identify discrepancies, and maintain highly accurate property records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functional teams.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, or government property program assessments is preferred.
