Job Title: Data and Analytics Scrum Master
Location: Remote, USA
Job Type: Contract (6+ months contract to extend or hire)
About the Role:
As a Data and Analytics Scrum Master, you will partner closely with Product Owners, Business Data Stewards, Analytics teams, IT, Data Platform teams, and business stakeholders. Your primary focus will be to facilitate Agile practices, remove impediments, and improve team performance. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all cross-functional work and team delivery commitments are perfectly aligned with strategic business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead standard Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Facilitate delivery planning and execution across Data & Analytics initiatives while promoting a culture of transparency, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor team velocity, sprint performance, and delivery predictability.
- Support PI Planning activities, backlog refinement, capacity planning, dependency management, and coordinate cross-team Scrum of Scrums discussions.
- Assist Product Owners in maintaining healthy, prioritized backlogs, and track PI objectives, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to bridge communication between technical and business stakeholders.
- Maintain Agile work management processes within Jira, coaching teams on workflows, reporting, and ensuring data quality/consistency.
- Provide visibility into team progress by supporting leadership reporting and developing Agile metrics and delivery dashboards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, or a related field.
- 4 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or in Agile delivery.
- Experience supporting Data, Analytics, Reporting, AI, or Technology teams.
- Experience utilizing Jira and Agile reporting tools.
- Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
- Experience working within the healthcare or payer industry (e.g., CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, Operations, Compliance).
