Software Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering scalable technology solutions, leading complex development initiatives, performing systems analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, develop, test, and implement software applications and system enhancements.
• Serve as a key contributor for medium to large-scale development projects.
• Lead technical efforts and provide guidance to junior developers and project team members.
• Develop and maintain technical design documents, specifications, and system documentation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, QA, and operations teams throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
• Analyze complex system integrations and application dependencies.
• Drive project deliverables, estimates, timelines, and technical milestones.
• Recommend and implement process improvements, new technologies, and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to development standards, security requirements, and compliance guidelines.
• Support application performance, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 5+ years of software development/application development experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong experience with software design, development, systems analysis, and application support.
• Knowledge of application development frameworks, software platforms, and system integrations.
• Experience working on complex, enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience coordinating with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Proven ability to drive project milestones and deliver solutions on schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise application frameworks and integrated systems.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and application support models.
• Experience acting as a technical lead or mentoring developers.
• Ability to work independently as well as within collaborative team environments.
• Experience supporting financial services, banking, or highly regulated environments is a plus.
