Business Architect

Location: Buffalo, NY (Preferred) / Remote (Travel to Buffalo every 4-6 weeks)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Architect to align business strategy with enterprise execution. The ideal candidate will define and maintain business architecture frameworks, develop capability maps and value streams, and support strategic transformation initiatives across a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business strategy into capability, value stream, and initiative roadmaps.
• Develop and maintain business capability maps, value streams, and operating models.
• Define current and target-state business architecture.
• Identify capability gaps and recommend investment priorities.
• Support portfolio planning, business transformation, and strategic decision-making.
• Engage with business leaders, architecture teams, and delivery stakeholders to drive alignment.
• Establish business architecture standards and governance practices.
• Ensure traceability from business strategy through execution and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Business Architecture, Strategy, Consulting, or Transformation roles.
• Experience creating capability maps, value streams, and business architecture artifacts.
• Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments; financial services experience is a plus.
• Certifications such as CBA® or TOGAF are preferred.
