Title: Aircraft Records Clerk IV
Location: Remote
Pay: $33.00/hr. on W2
Contract: 4 Months with possibility of Extension
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Records Clerk IV to support aircraft maintenance and regulatory compliance activities through effective management of aircraft records and technical documentation. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate aircraft maintenance records, managing electronic and hard-copy documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage aircraft maintenance records, logbooks, inventory records, technical documents, and compliance reports.
- Ensure aircraft documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable regulatory and company requirements.
- Track and monitor maintenance actions, airworthiness directives (ADs), service bulletins (SBs), and time compliance requirements.
- Scan, digitize, organize, and archive paper records into electronic document management systems.
- Research and resolve complex documentation discrepancies, record deficiencies, and compliance issues.
- Utilize aircraft maintenance tracking software and databases to maintain record accuracy and traceability.
- Generate reports and provide documentation support for audits, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance records management efficiency.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on records management procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and operational teams to ensure documentation integrity.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft records management, aircraft maintenance documentation, or a related aviation field.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance documentation requirements and regulatory compliance standards.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance tracking software and electronic records management systems.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience converting and managing paper records in electronic formats.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required, including extended travel assignments when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience within the aerospace, aviation, defense, or military industry.
- Knowledge of airworthiness directives, service bulletins, maintenance compliance programs, and aircraft certification records.
- Experience leading projects, training personnel, or supporting departmental process improvements.
- Familiarity with rotable and non-rotable aircraft component documentation.
- Strong data entry and clerical administration skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent use of computers and data entry systems.
- Good hand and finger dexterity for document handling and computer work.
- Ability to work in an office, maintenance, or hybrid environment.
