Location: Albany, NY (Remote)
Responsibilities:
Analyzes architecture, relationship between systems, and systems flow of end-to-end designs.
Interface with Engineering, Operations and Network Planning organizations to serve and support proper designs needed to simplify and modernize the legacy network.
Track monthly Engineering and Operations progress to ensure progress is being made to achieve Open For Sales, Copper Migration and Switch shutdown targets.
Sharing progress with leaders and other stakeholders with dashboards and reports.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
Project & Program Management Dependency mapping facility exits have complex sequencing (circuits must move before equipment can leave) Critical path management missed milestones can trigger lease penalties Risk and issue management with escalation discipline Stakeholder Management Coordinating across network engineers, facilities, vendors, carriers, and leadership Managing competing priorities between technical teams and business timelines Clear executive-level communication on progress and blockers
DESIRED SKILLS:
Technical Literacy Understanding of network infrastructure (circuits, routers, switches, MPLS, carriers) Familiarity with operations center/facility operations Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and circuit inventories Change Management Managing the human and process side of site closures Keeping impacted teams aligned through transitions EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Project Management Certifications (Core) or equivelant experiance.
Education Bachelor's degree in IT, Telecommunications, Engineering, Business, or Project Management Advanced degree (MBA or MSc) is a plus but not typically required
