Position Overview
The Judge Group is seeking experienced Adult ICU Registered Nurses for full-time Clinical Application Specialist opportunities supporting advanced patient monitoring technology in hospital environments nationwide.
This is a highly autonomous, field-based position combining critical care nursing experience, technology, customer education, and clinical implementation. The ideal candidate is an experienced ICU RN who enjoys working with technology, interacting with hospital clinical teams, and traveling extensively.
This is not a traditional bedside nursing position. Candidates should carefully consider the significant travel requirements before applying.
Travel & Schedule
Approximately 80% nationwide travel is required. Candidates may live anywhere in the United States but must have reasonable access to a major airport with regular commercial service.
A typical travel week may include:
- Monday: Early morning flight, often around 6:00 AM, followed by travel to the assigned hospital
- Tuesday–Thursday: Early hospital start times, potentially 4:00–5:00 AM, with days occasionally extending into the evening depending on implementation needs
- Friday: Return travel home
- Occasional Sunday travel/preparation or Sunday–Thursday schedules
- Approximately every 5–9 weeks, a home/office-based week focused on calls, preparation, planning, and administrative responsibilities
Overnight travel Monday through Friday is routine.
Responsibilities
- Support implementation of patient monitoring systems within hospitals and healthcare facilities
- Develop and deliver customized clinical training and education to hospital staff
- Lead and support implementation teams through successful equipment go-lives
- Educate clinicians on monitoring technology, functionality, and clinical applications
- Provide ongoing customer support both on-site and remotely
- Troubleshoot clinical and technical issues related to patient monitoring
- Maintain current knowledge of product functionality and enhancements
- Maintain active RN licensure and clinical competency
- Coordinate travel and complete required expense reporting and documentation
- Work independently while maintaining close communication with customers and internal teams
- Provide a high level of customer service and professionalism in hospital environments
Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN required)
- Active, unrestricted U.S. RN license
- Minimum 3 years of Adult ICU RN experience
- Strong knowledge of hemodynamics
- Ability to troubleshoot complex critical-care nursing issues
- Strong EKG/rhythm interpretation skills
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn a large clinical technology portfolio
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently and be managed remotely
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% nationwide
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
