Our client is currently seeking a Database Administrator/Analyst (BlueOptima)-REMOTE/Part Time
PART TIME--20 hrs a week to start

We are seeking a BlueOptima Administrator & Engineering Analytics Analyst to own the quality, governance, and reporting of engineering workforce data within our BlueOptima platform. This role will be responsible for improving data accuracy, standardizing resource records, developing leadership-ready reporting, and transforming engineering data into actionable business insights.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and data management skills with the ability to communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to managers, directors, and executive leadership. While experience with BlueOptima is preferred, candidates with strong backgrounds in engineering analytics, data governance, business intelligence, or technical operations are encouraged to apply.

JobResponsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator and steward of the BlueOptima platform.
  • Maintain accurate resource, team, vendor, product, and location data.
  • Identify and resolve duplicate, incomplete, or inconsistent records.
  • Establish and document data governance standards and maintenance procedures.
  • Manage active/inactive user status and organizational hierarchy alignment.
  • Develop repeatable processes to ensure long-term data integrity.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Create leadership-ready dashboards, reports, and presentations.
  • Deliver actionable insights related to:
    • Engineering productivity
    • Workforce composition
    • Vendor performance
    • Geographic and location trends
    • Product and team comparisons
    • Resource allocation and utilization
  • Analyze trends, strengths, weaknesses, risks, and opportunities across engineering organizations.
  • Support managers, directors, and vice presidents with data-driven decision making.
  • Perform SQL-based analysis to investigate data quality issues.
  • Validate integrations and data synchronization between systems.
  • Research anomalies and reconcile discrepancies across multiple data sources.
  • Support ongoing data audits and quality reviews.
  • Administer supporting databases and platform configurations.
  • Assist with onboarding new teams and users into BlueOptima.
  • Support SaaS platform administration, access controls, and role management.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity and integration issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, PMO, HR, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Automate recurring reporting and data validation activities where appropriate.
  • Leverage scripting and AI-powered tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Recommend enhancements to reporting, governance, and analytics capabilities.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, technical operations, engineering analytics, or related fields.
  • Experience Reading and writing database queries to investigate and resolve data integrity or collection Backup and recovery, Database design, Performance Tuning
  • Strong SQL experience, including data investigation and reporting.
  • Experience creating dashboards and executive-level reporting.
  • Demonstrated success improving data accuracy, governance, and reporting processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Bash scripting for automation and routine diagnostic
  • Administering systems Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
  • Experience with Linux, Unix, or Windows server environments / AWS.
  • Familiarity with IP whitelisting, firewall configurations, and basic connectivity
  • Understanding Git workflows and Jira task tracking system
  • Experience supporting enterprise software-as-a-service architecture and client-facing technical onboarding Experience working with Claude AI / MCP configurations, other Agentic AI
  • Ability to explain technical and business insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with:
    • Jira
    • Git-based workflows
    • SaaS applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
