Software Engineer (.NET / Angular / Azure)

Overview

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join a modern application development team focused on building scalable, secure, and high-quality business applications. This role will contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise solutions using modern technologies including .NET, Angular, Azure services, REST APIs, and SQL-based platforms.

The ideal candidate has strong full-stack development experience, a passion for delivering high-quality software, and the ability to collaborate effectively within Agile teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using C#, .NET, Angular, and SQL technologies.
• Build scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, application services, and system integrations.
• Create reusable, efficient, and well-documented application components.
• Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, and defect resolution activities.

Software Engineering & Quality

• Perform unit testing and support integration, system, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards and best practices.
• Submit pull requests and collaborate with team members to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Follow secure coding practices and established software engineering standards.
• Produce technical documentation and implementation artifacts.

Agile Delivery & Collaboration

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, testers, product owners, project managers, and fellow developers.
• Translate functional requirements, user stories, and technical specifications into production-ready software solutions.
• Assist in estimating development effort and managing assigned work within project timelines.

API & Integration Development

• Design and develop REST APIs and system interfaces.
• Support integration of applications, databases, and external services.
• Develop automation workflows and backend services to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure application interoperability, scalability, and reliability.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to application modernization initiatives and technology upgrades.
• Support enhancement of development processes, tools, and deployment pipelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, maintainability, security, and user experience.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core/.NET.
• Hands-on experience developing RESTful Web APIs.
• Experience building modern front-end applications using Angular 16+.
• Strong SQL development skills and experience with relational databases.
• Experience using Azure DevOps for source control, work item tracking, CI/CD, and release management.
• Proficiency with Git and modern source control practices.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile development practices.
• Experience writing unit tests and maintaining high-quality code standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Azure Functions and cloud-native application development.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL and managed database services.
• Experience with modern UI/UX development principles.
• Knowledge of application security best practices and secure coding standards.
• Experience working with enterprise modernization initiatives.
• Exposure to Power BI or enterprise reporting solutions.
