Position: Data Engineer with Exasol expertise

What You Will Do
· Develop, test, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformations in Exasol.
· Navigate and analyze Exasol back-end schemas, tables, views, scripts, relationships, dependencies, and business logic.
· Trace data from source systems through staging, transformation, analytics, and downstream consumption layers.
· Develop advanced SQL, incremental loads, merges, data-quality controls, reconciliation processes, and audit logging.
· Build processes that trigger downstream jobs, APIs, extracts, notifications, or operational workflows based on data events or defined conditions.
· Troubleshoot data discrepancies, pipeline failures, broken dependencies, and query-performance issues.
· Document source-to-target mappings, data lineage, table relationships, transformation rules, and operational procedures.
· Collaborate with Epic, analytics, integration, and business teams to translate healthcare requirements into production data solutions.
· Apply appropriate security and access controls when working with protected health information.
What You Will Need
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, health informatics, analytics, or a related field.
· Five or more years of experience in data engineering, database development, analytics engineering, or enterprise data integration.
· Demonstrable, hands-on Exasol development experience, including independently working with back-end schemas, tables, views, scripts, dependencies, and production data pipelines.
· Advanced SQL skills and experience developing, deploying, and supporting production ETL/ELT processes.
· Experience with Exasol capabilities such as IMPORT, EXPORT, JDBC/ODBC connectivity, virtual schemas, scripts, or user-defined functions.
· Experience with incremental loads, change detection, merges, upserts, effective dating, data validation, and recovery processes.
· Experience implementing downstream event triggering through orchestration tools, schedulers, APIs, messaging technologies, or integration platforms.
· Experience using Python or another programming or scripting language to support database and pipeline development.
· Ability to understand complex data models and troubleshoot issues across interconnected tables, pipelines, and systems.
