Software Engineer, Infrastructure Automation
Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid)

About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team and help build scalable automation solutions that power modern, software-defined infrastructure. In this role, you will develop API-driven platforms and self-service capabilities that improve operational efficiency and support large-scale infrastructure modernization initiatives.
You will work closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and infrastructure teams to design, build, and maintain cloud-native applications and automation services. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who is passionate about Python development, modern web technologies, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions for infrastructure automation.
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs that enable self-service infrastructure capabilities.
- Develop cloud-native applications using modern container platforms and orchestration technologies.
- Create intuitive frontend experiences using React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
- Ensure applications meet security, compliance, reliability, and performance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and non-production issues.
- Contribute to Agile development processes, including planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
- Support CI/CD initiatives and help improve software delivery and operational excellence practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 4+ years of experience developing applications with Python.
- 4+ years of experience writing and maintaining automated unit tests.
- 3+ years of experience building frontend applications using React.
- 3+ years of experience working with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- 2+ years of experience developing RESTful APIs.
- 1+ year of experience building cloud-native applications using technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Cloud Foundry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with full-stack application development.
- Proficiency in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience developing backend services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience designing and working with SQL databases.
- Experience building automation solutions for infrastructure, networking, or operational workflows.
- Familiarity with API management platforms such as Apigee.
- Experience deploying and managing applications in containerized cloud environments.
- Experience using API development and testing tools such as Postman.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and modern software development workflows.
- Understanding of networking concepts, load balancing, PKI, certificates, cryptography, or key management systems.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Work Location & Requirements
- Hybrid work model with 3 days per week in the Irving, TX office and 2 days remote.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to work on-site at the designated office location.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
