About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer to support security initiatives and engineering efforts within a large enterprise environment. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and address information security challenges while contributing to the design, implementation, and enhancement of security controls and processes.
You will work on moderately complex security projects, provide technical consultation, and help ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technology teams to support information security engineering initiatives.
- Analyze and resolve moderately complex security challenges requiring evaluation of multiple risk factors and technical considerations.
- Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of security solutions and controls.
- Conduct security assessments and recommend improvements to strengthen the organization's security posture.
- Support compliance, risk management, and governance requirements by applying established security policies and procedures.
- Contribute to incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring activities as needed.
- Provide guidance and consultation to teams on information security best practices and standards.
- Document security processes, findings, recommendations, and project deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering or a related cybersecurity discipline.
- Experience evaluating security risks and implementing security controls in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of information security principles, frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Experience working collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise security initiatives.
- Knowledge of security compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with vulnerability management, security monitoring, threat detection, or incident response.
- Relevant industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, GSEC, or equivalent.
