Field Service Equipment Technician (Remote)

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Field Service Equipment Technician to support customers in the greater Philadelphia area. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable diagnosing electrical and control systems, and enjoys working independently in the field. This position requires travel to customer sites approximately 3 to 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Installation, Maintenance & Service
• Install and commission new equipment at customer facilities.
• Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on installed units and related systems.
• Service, repair, and optimize equipment to maintain peak operational performance.
• Complete equipment inspections and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
• Analyze equipment performance and identify root causes of failures.
• Utilize strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to minimize downtime.
Controls & Electrical Support
• Troubleshoot and maintain heating systems, pumps, motor controls, and electrical components.
• Diagnose electrical panels, circuits, and control systems.
• Ensure proper temperature regulation, fluid flow, and overall system efficiency.
Safety & Customer Support
• Adhere to all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
• Train customer personnel on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Represent the company professionally while building strong customer relationships.
Qualifications
Required Skills
• Strong understanding of industrial mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical panels, circuits, pumps, motors, and control systems.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Experience
• Experience working with industrial machinery & equipment, process equipment, pumps, or heating systems.
• Background in field service, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and equipment installations.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to perform physically demanding maintenance and repair tasks.
• Comfortable working in industrial environments that may involve equipment cleaning, tank clearing, lifting, climbing, and confined spaces.
• Ability to obtain Confined Space Certification if not already certified.
Travel Requirements
• Travel tin the PA/ NJ area approximately 3 to 4 days per week.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently to customer locations.
