About the Role
Our client, a large nonprofit federal health and dental benefits carrier, is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) Consultant to help drive business performance through strategic people partnership. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders, helping align talent strategies with organizational objectives while fostering a high-performance, values-driven culture.
The ideal candidate combines deep HR expertise with a hands-on approach, leveraging data, strong business acumen, and consultative skills to influence outcomes, solve complex people challenges, and support organizational effectiveness. This consultant will partner closely with business leaders and the People & Culture team to implement enterprise initiatives, strengthen leadership capability, and enhance employee engagement and performance.
What You'll Do
- Partner with business leaders to align talent and workforce strategies with organizational goals.
- Provide strategic and day-to-day consultation on employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning.
- Coach leaders at all levels on leadership effectiveness, employee performance, change management, and difficult people-related decisions.
- Analyze workforce and business data to identify trends, assess organizational health, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate across the People & Culture function to ensure consistent execution of HR programs, policies, and initiatives.
- Support and influence continuous improvement efforts across HR processes, programs, systems, and employee experiences.
- Proactively identify organizational challenges and opportunities while driving practical solutions that improve business outcomes.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing guidance on complex and ambiguous people situations.
- Partner with stakeholders to implement enterprise-wide people strategies and organizational initiatives.
- Leverage Workday HCM and other tools to support decision-making and workforce insights.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- 6+ years of experience serving in a strategic HR Business Partner or comparable HR leadership role.
- Experience supporting multiple HR disciplines, including at least two of the following:
- Talent Acquisition
- Compensation
- Employee Relations
- Performance Management
- Organizational Effectiveness
- HR Operations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make business-focused recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience advising leaders on organizational and employee performance issues.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with Workday HCM.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting large, complex organizations with geographically dispersed workforces.
- Demonstrated success leading organizational change and influencing senior leaders.
- Experience within healthcare, insurance, nonprofit, or highly regulated industries.
