About the Role
We are seeking a Project Leader / Project Manager to support strategic enterprise initiatives by leading project planning, execution, governance, and delivery activities. This individual will partner closely with business leaders, technology teams, and portfolio stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to organizational objectives.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative and proactive project professional with experience managing cross-functional initiatives, facilitating stakeholder alignment, mitigating risks, and driving successful business outcomes. This role supports both traditional waterfall and agile delivery methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead medium to large-scale enterprise projects and workstreams from initiation through delivery.
- Translate business objectives into actionable delivery plans, roadmaps, and project schedules.
- Coordinate project teams and manage cross-functional dependencies to ensure progress toward milestones.
- Drive successful delivery across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business objectives.
- Monitor project performance and provide regular status reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
Stakeholder & Governance Management
- Partner with business leaders, technology teams, Portfolio Managers, and project stakeholders to align priorities and outcomes.
- Facilitate project governance activities, working sessions, planning meetings, and decision forums.
- Build strong relationships across the organization and serve as a trusted advisor throughout project execution.
- Establish clear responsibilities, accountability, and communication plans across project teams.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Develop mitigation strategies and escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Manage project changes and ensure appropriate governance processes are followed.
Agile & Traditional Project Management
- Support both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including planning sessions, standups, retrospectives, and dependency management.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, dashboards, and reporting artifacts.
Resource & Financial Management
- Ensure resource availability and allocation across project initiatives.
- Track project budgets, forecasts, and overall project health.
- Analyze project performance and recommend adjustments as necessary to support delivery objectives.
Day in the Life
- Partner with business and technology leaders to translate strategic objectives into executable delivery plans.
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery activities using the most appropriate methodology.
- Coordinate project teams and manage interdependencies across multiple workstreams.
- Communicate project progress, risks, issues, and trade-offs with transparency.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and decision-making sessions.
- Collaborate with Epic Owners, Business Area Leaders, and Portfolio teams to ensure alignment on desired outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-2+ years of project management, project coordination, program support, or delivery leadership experience.
- Experience managing projects from initiation through completion.
- Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience tracking project schedules, risks, issues, and action items.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.
- Agile certification (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP, or similar) or demonstrated Agile delivery experience.
- Change Management experience supporting organizational initiatives.
- Experience leading enterprise-level projects involving multiple stakeholders and business units.
