Data Engineer (Mid-Level)

Location: Remote
Contract Duration: 1+ Year Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with experience in building and supporting modern data pipelines. In this role, you will work closely with senior data engineers and architects to develop, test, and validate ETL/ELT processes, support data migration initiatives, and ensure high-quality data delivery across cloud-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ETL/ELT pipeline components based on architectural designs and technical specifications.
• Execute data quality checks, reconciliation processes, and migration validation activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Support unit testing, integration testing, and validation of migrated data pipelines and business logic.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies identified during testing and parallel-run activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and operational runbooks for production support and knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of data engineering projects.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience designing, building, and supporting cloud-based data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery and related data services.
• Familiarity with data migration, data validation, and data quality processes.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Customer Data Platforms (CDP) or marketing data platforms.
• Experience working in large-scale data migration or modernization projects.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud data architectures.
