Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives supporting Behavioral Health teams. This individual will be responsible for driving project execution, coordinating stakeholders across multiple business functions, and ensuring successful delivery of strategic initiatives. This role is not focused on cybersecurity projects; instead, it centers on enterprise-wide implementations, operational improvements, and business transformation efforts within the behavioral health space.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can manage complex programs, facilitate prioritization, remove obstacles, and foster collaboration across diverse teams while maintaining visibility into project progress, risks, and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
- Facilitate prioritization efforts and oversee the successful delivery of project features, enhancements, and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain project charters, project plans, status reports, and executive-level communications.
- Coordinate schedules, resources, and assignments across matrixed teams to ensure alignment with project scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Conduct stakeholder analyses and manage communication plans to keep key stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, escalating issues when necessary.
- Monitor project performance, measure outcomes, and provide regular progress reporting to leadership.
- Foster transparency by providing clear visibility into project status, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Support project teams, internal partners, and external stakeholders by identifying process gaps and driving continuous improvement.
- Serve as a servant leader by empowering teams, promoting accountability, and encouraging self-organization.
- Partner with senior leaders, business stakeholders, and functional teams to align project goals with organizational priorities.
- Drive problem resolution and ensure project challenges are addressed in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience managing enterprise-scale implementations or large business transformation projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, principles, and best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Experience developing project plans, communication strategies, risk mitigation plans, and executive status reporting.
- Ability to influence teams and drive results without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting healthcare, behavioral health, payer, provider, or health services organizations.
- PMP, Agile, Scrum Master, or related project management certification.
- Experience leading organizational change management initiatives.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methods.
