OSP Project Coordinator (4 Openings)

Location: Fully Remote (Eastern Time Zone preferred; Central Time Zone candidates must be willing to work EST hours)
Pay Rate: $33-$34/hour
Duration: Minimum 6-month contract with potential for direct hire
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

Our client is seeking 4 OSP Project Coordinators to support fiber deployment projects. This position requires hands-on experience with FTTH (Fiber to the Home) projects, underground/wireline construction, construction document review, and project coordination. Candidates must be comfortable managing multiple projects, contractors, schedules, and documentation while ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.

Important: FTTH experience is required. FTTB (Fiber to the Business) experience is also acceptable. Candidates with primarily wireless, site acquisition, or engineering-only backgrounds will not be a fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate contractor job scopes, permits, access agreements, and ROW requirements.
• Maintain accurate project records, trackers, and SiteTracker updates.
• Create project folders and compile documentation required for NTP (Notice to Proceed) packages.
• Organize project schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Distribute design prints and construction documentation.
• Coordinate customer implementation activities and site walk-throughs.
• Serve as liaison between public works personnel, developers, building owners, utilities, and commercial customers.
• Perform project closeout activities, including asset reconciliation, database updates, and reporting.
• Coordinate locating contractors to resolve building and utility-related issues.
• Work closely with construction teams to assign responsibilities and track project progress.
• Review project status reports and recommend schedule adjustments as needed.
• Prepare management reporting and project updates.
• Support vendor management, quote collection, proposal development, and contractor relationships.
• Assist with invoicing, milestone tracking, and project-specific documentation.

Required Qualifications

✅ FTTH (Fiber to the Home) experience required
✅ Wireline/underground (UG) construction experience
✅ Experience reviewing construction drawings, design plans, and NTP packages
✅ Working knowledge of SiteTracker
✅ Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
✅ Strong Excel and documentation skills
✅ Ability to read and interpret:

• Fiber network maps
• Utility maps
• PDF drawings
• Construction drawings
• Engineering plans

✅ Telecommunications construction background preferred
✅ Strong organizational and communication skills
✅ Self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities

• Located and marked underground fiber, electric, gas, and communication facilities.
• Utilized EM locators, GPR equipment, and utility records.
• Interpreted 811 tickets, engineering prints, and utility maps.
• Collected GPS data, field notes, and photo documentation.
• Coordinated with contractors and engineers to prevent utility conflicts and excavation damage.
