Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a strong focus on Regression Testing, Data Validation, and Integration Support to support critical data pipelines, enterprise integrations, and production-like environments.

This is not a traditional QA role. The ideal candidate will combine a testing mindset (regression, validation, automation) with an SRE mindset (stability, reliability, monitoring, and production readiness). The individual will be responsible for validating end-to-end business processes, ensuring data integrity across complex systems, troubleshooting integration issues, and supporting release validation activities.

Strong candidates often come from backgrounds such as Data QA Engineering, ETL Testing, SDET, Integration Testing, Production Support Engineering, or Environment/Integration SRE roles.

Key Responsibilities

Regression Testing & Release Validation

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive regression testing strategies for enterprise applications and data platforms.
• Validate end-to-end business processes following code deployments, releases, and infrastructure changes.
• Build and maintain automated regression test suites to improve testing efficiency and release confidence.
• Identify, analyze, and document defects, ensuring timely resolution across multiple teams.
• Perform release validation and production readiness assessments.

Data Validation & ETL Testing

• Validate large-volume datasets, data pipelines, and ETL processes.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for data verification, reconciliation, and quality checks.
• Analyze data discrepancies and investigate root causes of data integrity issues.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of data movement across upstream and downstream systems.
• Support data quality initiatives and compliance requirements.

Integration Testing & Troubleshooting

• Test and validate integrations across distributed systems.
• Perform API, messaging, and file-based integration testing.
• Troubleshoot issues involving:
• REST APIs
• Kafka
• MQ Technologies
• SFTP/File Transfers
• Data Pipelines
• Trace data flow across multiple applications and environments.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve integration issues.

Automation & Continuous Integration

• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Integrate automated validation and regression tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Enhance testing frameworks to support scalable and repeatable validation processes.
• Support automated monitoring and deployment validation activities.

SRE & Production Support

• Support production and pre-production environments to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure using observability tools.
• Investigate performance issues, failures, and system anomalies.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-implementation validation.
• Assist with environment configuration and operational readiness.

Scheduling & Batch Processing

• Monitor and validate scheduled jobs and batch workflows.
• Troubleshoot failures in enterprise scheduling platforms.
• Support systems utilizing:
• Control-M
• AutoSys
• Jenkins

Required Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in SRE, Test Automation, Data QA, ETL Testing, Integration Testing, or Production Support environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with regression testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Proven experience validating end-to-end business workflows after releases and system changes.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience performing:
• Data validation
• Data reconciliation
• Complex joins and queries
• Defect analysis
• Experience testing ETL pipelines and data-intensive applications.
• Strong understanding of integration testing involving:
• APIs
• Kafka
• MQ/Messaging Platforms
• SFTP/File Transfers
• Experience with batch processing and scheduling tools such as Control-M, AutoSys, or Jenkins.
• Hands-on scripting experience with:
• Python (Preferred)
• Bash
• PowerShell
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

SRE & Technical Requirements

• Strong understanding of production environments and release validation processes.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms including:
• Splunk
• Dynatrace
• Grafana
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across applications, infrastructure, and data layers.
• Knowledge of:
• DNS
• SSL Certificates
• Firewalls
• Service Accounts
• Environment Configurations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Delphix or other test data management solutions.
• Knowledge of data masking and compliance testing.
• Experience in financial services, banking, or other highly regulated environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Prior experience in hybrid Production Support and Testing roles.
• Familiarity with large-scale enterprise integration architectures.
• Experience supporting mission-critical applications in complex environments.
