Our client is currently seeking a SQL Business Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform initial analysis on newly available datasets using existing analytical tools, dashboards, and curated data sources
• Identify early trends, anomalies, and potential signals to support proactive monitoring and decision-making
• Apply business logic and domain context to interpret data and generate meaningful insights
• Create initial analytical views to support issue identification, trend tracking, and early-stage monitoring
• Explore and analyze datasets to understand how they reflect business operations and workflows
• Use SQL, Excel, and/or BI tools to extract, manipulate, and analyze data for insights
• Identify patterns, inconsistencies, and data gaps from both business and user experience perspectives
• Translate raw data into actionable insights for stakeholders and leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and access relevant datasets
• Navigate data access challenges across organizational boundaries
• Act as a liaison between data providers and business teams to clarify data availability, structure, and limitations
• Ensure data usage aligns with governance, quality, and compliance standards

Must Have / Required:

Technical Skills:

• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating datasets
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Power BI, Excel, or similar platforms
• Ability to quickly understand data structures, relationships, and limitations

Business & Analytical Skills:

• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
• Ability to connect data findings to real-world business and operational impact
• Experience working in exploratory environments with ambiguous requirements
• Strong prioritization skills to distinguish meaningful insights from noise
