Senior Account Manager – Industrial Sales
Location: Remote *Must be based in either Virginia or San Diego, CA*
Salary: $90K - $110K + Bonus & Benefits
Job Type: Direct Hire, fulltime *Must be a US Citizen- No exceptions*
Position Details
The Account Manager develops and manages sales activities with prospective and existing customer accounts within a specialized industrial market. Responsible for the sale of fluid handling and flow control equipment, including pumps, valves, electric motors, actuators, and related products. Develops long-term relationships with key customer accounts and serves as the voice of the customer within the organization.
Principal Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer representatives, including buyers, engineers, and other professional and technical personnel, to communicate the value and performance of products and services.
- Review requests for quotation (RFQs), specifications, drawings, plans, and other customer documentation to prepare proposals and quotations.
- Coordinate project management activities for major contracts, including contract review, communication of requirements, progress tracking, and document submissions.
- Investigate and resolve customer issues, including delivery-related concerns.
- Provide customer reports in a timely and organized manner.
- Collaborate with operations, quality, supply chain, engineering, and other internal departments to resolve customer-related issues.
- Coordinate and process milestone payments.
- Organize and manage customer program and project review meetings.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, meetings, and trade shows.
- Assist finance teams with pricing, compliance requirements, and collection-related matters.

- Ability to meet any applicable regulatory, compliance, or security requirements associated with the position.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Business, or a related field, plus five years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience within industrial manufacturing, engineered products, marine, transportation, energy, or related industries is preferred.
- Knowledge of fluid systems, pumps, valves, and related mechanical equipment is preferred.
