Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer develops and improves quality‑focused manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment for new and existing wire, harness, and electro‑mechanical assemblies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Process Development — Create and refine manufacturing processes for harness systems, cable assemblies, and electro‑mechanical products.
Work Instructions — Develop and maintain clear, efficient work instructions to improve manufacturability.
Technical Problem Solving — Diagnose production issues and recommend solutions for internal and customer‑driven design challenges.
New Product Introduction — Lead engineering activities to transition new products into production.
Tooling & Fixtures — Design and implement tools and fixtures to support efficient manufacturing.
Equipment Improvements — Evaluate, justify, and implement new equipment purchases.
Change Management — Manage process and documentation updates driven by internal or customer engineering changes.
Drawing & BOM Review — Interpret and audit drawings and BOMs for accuracy.
Production Support — Provide expert technical guidance to production teams and collaborate with purchasing, quality, test, and manufacturing groups.
Additional Duties — Perform other engineering tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
BS in Engineering or related field preferred
2+ years manufacturing engineering experience
Experience with cable layup/construction and electro‑mechanical assemblies
Injection molding experience strongly preferred
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and computer skills (Microsoft Office proficiency)
Experience with Lean manufacturing
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
