Job Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced CICS System Programmer with strong expertise in mainframe system-level support and IBM MQ administration. This role focuses strictly on systems programming and infrastructure support, not application development.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support CICS environments (installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades)
• Manage CICS regions, ensuring optimal performance and availability
• Perform troubleshooting and system-level issue resolution
• Support and maintain IBM MQ infrastructure (administration or system programming)
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system stability and reliability

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a:
• CICS System Programmer or CICS Administrator
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• CICS system programming (mandatory)
• IBM MQ (Administrator or System Programmer)
• Solid understanding of mainframe environments (z/OS)

Experience with system performance tuning, upgrades, and troubleshooting
