Our client, a very stable family owned and operated manufacturer and distributor of fine appetizers sold to foodservice customers in 50 states, is adding a new National Accounts Sales Manager - Foodservice. Their premium products are some of the best tasting in the market! They remain committed to quality, bold flavors, innovation, and strong partnerships across the foodservice industry. MUST HAVE STRONG FOODSERVICE RELATIONSHIPS WITH TOP RESTAURANT CHAINS, C-STORES, POSSIBLY CASINOS, STADIUMS. Also, must live near top airport with direct flights to most States. Base salary dependent on background and very generous bonus and benefits package on top!

Job Description:

As the National Accounts Sales Manager - Foodservice, you will report to the Director of Sales and assume a key role on the leadership team. You will oversee the development and maintenance of customer growth strategies and plans that align to the company's strategic goals. This exciting role is heavily engaged with customers at the regional and national chain levels. Additionally, the incumbent will build and strengthen relationships with key customers to foster trust.

Responsibilities:

  • Target large multi-unit regional and national chain accounts for growth opportunities.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, nurturing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets for our products.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities and strategic partnerships within the Food Service space to expand our customer base and market presence.
  • Strong selling communication skills utilized with all customers and potential customers, both written and verbal.
  • Highly active market presence +40 sales calls per week.
  • Build and strengthen cross functional relationships with key customers to foster trust. Successfully develop, maintain and oversee customer relations by interacting with customers, reviewing and discussing business relationships and proactively managing key issues/problems.
  • Continuously review and optimize the sales process to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Implement best practices and sales tools to streamline workflows and improve team productivity.
  • Must be self-driven to build relationships with accounts and close on sales opportunities.
  • Must take a sales hunter approach to account management constantly seeking to expand business.
  • Work closely with internal sales and management team to ensure mutual needs are met.
  • Be knowledgeable of the internal processes needed to bring products through commercialization.
  • Work with cross functional team to assess new potential opportunities.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Commerce or Culinary and Foodservice Management related field.
  • A minimum of 5-8+ years of experience with a proven history of success in Food Service-related sales.
  • Experience working with large multi-unit regional and national chain accounts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Customer-focused with a strong understanding of relationship management.
  • Results-oriented, with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive, a sales "hunter" mindset, and passion to succeed.
  • Hands on mentality, proven ability to work independently and autonomously with self-motivation.
  • A Diverse (club, foodservice, grocery and industrial) food channel background is a plus.
  • Experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external customers including key business partners and store management.
  • Strong selling, presentation, strategic thinking, negotiating, organizational, financial analysis and broker management skills.
  • Solid computer skills with focus on Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • This role will be completely remote with travel from time to time to the customer as needed to drive business results.
