Top Responsibilities

1. Patient Rooming & Intake

   • Escort patients to exam rooms
   • Take and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, weight)
   • Prepare patients for visits and document information in EPIC

2. Clinical Support & Discharge

   • Perform EKGs, point-of-care testing (POCT), injections, and vaccines as needed
   • Provide discharge instructions and ensure all post-visit steps are completed

3. Provider Support

   • Work closely with assigned clinician to assist with daily patient care
   • Prepare rooms and ensure all required supplies and documentation are ready

4. Appointment Scheduling

   • Schedule follow-ups, procedures, and new patient appointments
   • Coordinate scheduling based on provider availability

5. In-Basket Management (EPIC)

   • Monitor and respond to patient messages, lab results, and internal communications
   • Route messages to providers as needed

6. Referral Coordination

   • Process outgoing referrals to specialists or diagnostic services
   • Ensure all required documentation is completed and submitted

7. Prior Authorizations

   • Initiate and follow up on medication prior authorizations
   • Communicate with pharmacies, insurance, and providers

8. Documentation & EMR Usage

   • Accurately document all patient interactions, procedures, and updates in EPIC

9. General Clinic Support

   • Maintain workflow efficiency and assist with administrative tasks as needed
