Our client is currently seeking a Engineer-Equipment -for In-Building Venue projects

Location: Hybrid (2x per week in office, any US client Hub location)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to join National In-Building PMO team. This role will interface with supply chain, submarket teams, enterprise sales, and senior leadership to engineer, procure, and deploy equipment supporting In-Building Venue projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in 4G/5G technologies, vendor management, and project execution, ensuring us to remains ahead of the competition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement equipment for In-Building Venue projects (Corning, Ericsson, Samsung, Nokia, Cisco, Fujitsu).
  • Collaborate with RF, Construction, and Transport teams to support 5G rollout and maintain 4G LTE infrastructure.
  • Document purchases, designs, and material releases in internal databases.
  • Develop and maintain equipment delivery schedules; manage vendors to meet deliverables.
  • Partner with Network Planning on strategic initiatives for future technology solutions.
  • Manage capital spending to align with forecasts and project timelines.
  • Complete equipment-related milestones using engineering tools such as FUZE.
  • Provide technical expertise on deployed network elements.
  • Apply agile project management practices to ensure timely delivery.
  • Lead project update meetings, resolve issues creatively, and provide executive-level reporting.

Must-Have Skills

  • Wireless experience as an Equipment or Construction Engineer (preferred).
  • In-depth experience with IB OEMs (Corning, Ericsson, Samsung, Nokia, Cisco, Fujitsu).
  • Strong knowledge of power/cooling requirements and rack layout design.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Experience in project resource management, risk assessment, and mitigation planning.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance technical and business requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Desired Skills

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with DAS provisioning, commissioning, integration, troubleshooting, walk testing, and close-out packages.
  • Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA, and agile methodologies.
  • IBwave Level 3 certification.
  • Knowledge of LAA, CBRS, 5G products, and enterprise building implementation.
  • Experience with tools (Fuze, Site Tracker).
  • PMI or Project Management certification.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with ability to manage under pressure.
  • Flexible and creative problem-solving approach.
  • Willingness to support night/weekend work as needed.
  • Experience in telecommunications, data networking, or wireless industry.
  • Knowledge of 4G/5G network architecture, CRAN architecture, and equipment.
  • Vendor management, equipment ordering, and forecasting experience.
  • Ability to read, understand, and comment on construction drawings.
