Our client is currently seeking a Service Designer

Designer (Strategic / Conceptual Design)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Service Designer to lead strategic, system-level design initiatives across complex business environments. This role focuses on conceptual, human-centered design rather than production or visual design, requiring strong systems thinking, facilitation, and stakeholder alignment.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate research insights into service strategies, prototypes, and scalable design frameworks that improve end-to-end client experiences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and lead research and analysis to identify behavioral patterns, service gaps, and actionable insights
  • Facilitate and lead service design workshops with stakeholders using structured design methodologies and tools
  • Independently scope and define service design activities, including deliverables, timelines, and required resources
  • Create high-fidelity service design artifacts, including:
    • Customer journey maps
    • Service blueprints
    • Ecosystem and stakeholder maps
  • Apply human-centered design frameworks to develop concepts, prototypes, and strategic solutions
  • Leverage business and financial services acumen to align design outputs with organizational goals
  • Demonstrate strong systems thinking to connect processes, workflows, and experiences across business units
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers, researchers, and visual designers to elevate overall experience quality
  • Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership, including:
    • Opportunity identification
    • Business case development
    • Experience roadmaps and future-state vision

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in service design, UX strategy, or related design disciplines
  • Proven experience working in complex, cross-functional environments
  • Strong ability to operate independently in ambiguous, loosely structured environments

Required Skills

  • Service design and service blueprinting
  • Systems thinking and process design
  • Workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement
  • Visual storytelling and design communication
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
