About the Role

We are seeking an experienced OTM Consultant to evaluate, optimize, and enhance our Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) platform. This role will focus on assessing current configurations and customizations, identifying capability gaps, and aligning system functionality with business and strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

• OTM Configuration Assessment

  • Review current OTM configurations and system specifications.
  • Identify activated capabilities and evaluate alignment with business needs.
  • Document findings and provide recommendations for optimization.

• Customization Analysis & Diagnostics

  • Analyze existing OTM customizations and extensions.
  • Assess the purpose, effectiveness, and technical fit of each customization.
  • Perform quick diagnostics to determine whether solutions are reusable, redundant, or require redesign.

• Planning vs. Execution Evaluation

  • Assess current OTM setup to distinguish between planning and execution functionalities.
  • Identify gaps or overlaps in configurations impacting operational efficiency.
  • Recommend improvements to better align planning and execution workflows.

• Capability Validation & Strategy Alignment

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to pressure test OTM capabilities against strategic recommendations
  • Identify additional features or modules within OTM that could deliver value.
  • Provide actionable insights on leveraging standard OTM features versus custom builds.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
• Strong understanding of OTM architecture, configurations, and workflows.
• Experience evaluating and optimizing enterprise transportation systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both OTM planning and execution modules.
• Expertise in OTM integrations, customizations (agents, workflows, extensions).
• Experience working with consulting recommendations (e.g., BCG, McKinsey, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
