Job Title: Accountant 2

*Hybrid – 2 days a week onsite

About the Role

This role supports core accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and close activities, within a large, complex corporate environment. The position partners with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. It offers exposure to enterprise ERP systems and opportunities to contribute to special projects and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, intercompany, and international transactions
• Perform account reconciliations using Blackline and resolve reconciling items
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Review trial balances and validate general ledger data loaded into reporting systems
• Reconcile general ledger data to reporting and scheduling systems and resolve discrepancies
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounting processes or organizations
• Respond to ad hoc data requests, audit inquiries, and issue resolution
• Participate in or coordinate special projects and process initiatives
• Develop and deliver presentations as needed
• Collaborate effectively with remote and cross-location teams

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of accounting or finance experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting practices, and standards
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP S/4
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and macros
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to work onsite at one of the listed office locations at least two days per week

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4 and Costpoint general ledger systems
• Hands-on experience with Blackline
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Public accounting or large enterprise accounting experience
