Our client is currently seeking an experienced SAP BPC Functional Analyst to support Planning and Financial Consolidation processes. This role will act as a critical liaison between Accounting/Finance teams and IT, ensuring smooth system operations, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of BPC applications.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical support experience with SAP BPC (11.1 on BW/4HANA), combined with a solid understanding of financial consolidation, reporting, and accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
BPC Support & System Management
- Act as a liaison between Finance/Accounting and IT for BPC Planning and Consolidation
- Troubleshoot and resolve system, data, and process-related issues
- Prioritize and manage issue resolution aligned with financial close, forecast, and reporting timelines
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial close cycles
- Maintain system documentation, reporting structures, and processes
- Perform impact analysis for changes across systems, data, and processes
- Understand integration between SAP S/4HANA, BPC Planning, and BPC Consolidation
Financial Consolidation & Reporting
- Support and enhance BPC Consolidation reporting (Audit, Management, Ad Hoc)
- Validate consolidated financial data for accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with Accounting to improve reporting structures and hierarchies
- Analyze financial results and support business reviews
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Gather and document business requirements for enhancements
- Translate business needs into functional specifications
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Facilitate alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams
SAP Group Reporting Transition
- Support transition from SAP BPC Consolidation to SAP Group Reporting
- Document current-state processes, data models, and reporting structures
- Assist with testing, validation, and reconciliation activities
- Provide expertise in gap analysis and solution design
Data Integrity & Controls
- Reconcile financial data between SAP BPC, SAP S/4HANA, and related systems
- Maintain consistency in master data and financial hierarchies
- Support internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements
Required Qualifications
BPC & Technical Experience
- 6+ years of experience with SAP BPC (Planning & Consolidation)
- Hands-on experience with BPC 11.1 on BW/4HANA
- Strong knowledge of:
- BPC dimensions, hierarchies, and data models
- Report development and input schedules
- Data Manager packages for data load and transformation
- Experience with flat file integrations and data loading
- Understanding of driver-based calculations and planning logic
Functional & Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of financial consolidation and reporting concepts
- Experience supporting financial close, budgeting, and forecasting cycles
- Background in Accounting, Finance, or Controllership
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst (requirements gathering & process design)
Additional Skills
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA and SAP Group Reporting preferred
- Experience with tools like SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), OneStream, or Hyperion is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
