Architectural Project Manager (Residential Design & Construction)
About the Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic Architectural Project Manager to lead and deliver residential design and construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can successfully manage multiple projects while ensuring quality, timelines, and budget adherence.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including Design, Engineering, and Operations, while also engaging with external consultants. This position offers opportunities to expand your skillset through involvement in design innovation, technology initiatives, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Oversee construction documentation, lot-specific designs, and plan revisions
- Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and development procedures
- Identify, gather, and interpret project requirements and data
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive successful project execution
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement
- Partner with Design, Engineering, and Operations teams to support project success
- Manage and coordinate internal teams and external consultants
- Support design initiatives by contributing to new options, styles, and architectural details
- Actively share insights, challenges, and best practices across teams
Design & Technical Support
- Assist in evaluating and developing architectural designs
- Contribute to technology initiatives during discovery and design phases
- Utilize tools such as AutoCAD and other design platforms to support project outcomes
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Drive team engagement and knowledge sharing
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Support development and governance of standards and workflows
- Contribute to business insights and analysis for leadership decision-making
Qualifications
Required
- Associate Degree or equivalent technical certification
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in project or people management
- Strong knowledge of architecture, construction processes, and codes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple projects
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and remote stakeholders
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Experience with residential projects
- Familiarity with SketchUp, BIM360, or similar tools
