Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist (6‑Month Contract, Temp‑to‑Hire)
Contract Duration: June 22, 2026 – December 21, 2026

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
Training: PST hours (approx. 8 AM–5 PM)
Post‑Training: Flexible schedule within home time zone (8 hours/day)
Pay Rate: $44/hr - $46/hr
Role Overview
The Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist supports accurate, complete, and compliant clinical documentation to ensure high‑quality patient records and appropriate reimbursement. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to work independently, and comfort operating in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review new cases to evaluate documentation completeness and identify clarification needs
Conduct 10 new reviews per day and 10–15 re‑reviews
Maintain a 25% counter‑clarification rate
Maintain an 11% financial impact rate
Collaborate with providers to clarify clinical indicators, diagnoses, and documentation gaps
Utilize CDI tools and EHR systems to manage daily workload and track case progress
Work independently while meeting productivity and quality expectations
Required Qualifications
2–5 years of CDI experience (3+ years preferred)
Active RN license
EPIC experience required
Experience with CDI tools; Nuance CDE preferred
Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
No coding certifications required
Preferred Skills
Strong understanding of clinical indicators, documentation best practices, and query standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Comfort working with productivity metrics and performance targets
