Data Engineer
Contract | Open
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong database skills: DDL/DML, querying, insertion, manipulation
- Solid programming foundation (Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred) and Git/version control
- Hands-on API integration and consumption
- Knowledge of test data management, data masking/obfuscation, synthetic data generation
- Cloud experience (Azure strongly preferred)
- Ability to work across legacy systems and modern cloud environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Self-starter in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Delphix, Broadcom, or similar data masking tools
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes basics)
- Exposure to QA/testing practices
- Financial services or banking experience
- Mainframe systems (VSAM files, legacy platforms)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (Copilot, GitLab Duo)
Responsibilities
- Support enterprise test data management initiatives
- Perform data obfuscation/masking in non-production environments
- Enable synthetic data generation to reduce sensitive data usage
- Work across databases, APIs, mainframe, and cloud systems
- Provide test data support to teams across the bank
- Integrate data processes into CI/CD pipelines

- Single 90-minute technical interview with HM + team member
- Deep dive into candidate experience and real-world scenarios
- Light whiteboarding and technical discussion (no heavy coding test)
