Location- 100% Remote
Role Overview
Seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee a critical vendor engagement supporting Automation for New Business and Endorsement work with Roots. This role is the central coordination point between teams and the vendor partner, ensuring alignment of roadmaps, timely delivery, and seamless communication across distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross-functional coordination: Act as liaison between vendor and teams; facilitate meetings and communication channels.
- Stakeholder management: Provide clear status updates, risks, and insights to IT Director and stakeholders.
- Vendor oversight: Ensure vendor deliverables meet standards; resolve roadblocks.
- Risk & issue management: Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks/issues proactively.
- Documentation management: Maintain organized, up-to-date project documentation and decision records.
Required Qualifications
- Strong background managing complex IT projects with vendor/third-party integrations.
- Proven ability to lead distributed teams in Agile environments.
- Deep understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in project execution.
- Proficiency with JIRA and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to independently drive delivery while fostering collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or equivalent certification.
- Familiarity with AI concepts in software/business processes.
- Insurance/financial services experience, especially underwriting.
