Position Overview
Seeking an experienced IT Sourcing / Category Manager to support a critical post-acquisition integration effort following the transition of the Reuter-Stokes business from Baker Hughes.
This role will focus heavily on contract review, negotiation, and supplier transition, as all existing agreements currently sit under Baker Hughes. The consultant will be responsible for evaluating, renegotiating, and transitioning these contracts into environment.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role reporting into the CFO, requiring strong experience in IT/indirect procurement, contract negotiation, and supplier management in complex or newly integrated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess existing IT and vendor contracts inherited from the Baker Hughes environment
- Lead the renegotiation and transition of contracts into legal, financial, and operational framework
- Identify key contract terms, risks, obligations, and opportunities for cost optimization
- Engage with legal, finance, and business stakeholders to align on contract priorities and negotiation strategies
- Manage supplier communications and lead contract negotiations with vendors
- Ensure continuity of services while transitioning agreements to new ownership
- Support vendor rationalization efforts (retain, renegotiate, consolidate, or replace suppliers)
- Develop sourcing strategies for IT categories including software, infrastructure, services, and consulting
- Maintain documentation of contract status, negotiation progress, and key milestones
- Drive standardization of terms, pricing structures, and vendor agreements where appropriate
- Partner closely with Project Management and IT teams supporting the broader application and infrastructure integration
Required Experience
- 7+to 10+ years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement, or category management
- Strong experience reviewing, redlining, and negotiating vendor contracts and service agreements
- Experience managing indirect procurement categories, particularly IT (software, SaaS, infrastructure, services)
- Proven ability to lead vendor negotiations focused on pricing, terms, SLAs, and risk mitigation
- Experience working in post-acquisition, carve-out, or integration environments
- Strong understanding of contract structures, commercial terms, and vendor management practices
- Ability to operate independently and manage multiple vendors and contracts simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across Finance, Legal, IT, and executive stakeholders
Preferred Experience
- Experience transitioning contracts from one entity to another (M&A integration or carve-outs)
- Background in manufacturing, industrial, or regulated environments
- Exposure to global sourcing or multi-vendor environments
- Familiarity with procurement tools

- Improved commercial terms, cost savings, or risk mitigation through negotiations
- Minimal disruption to business operations during vendor transition
- Clear visibility into contract inventory, renewal timelines, and ownership
