Business Analyst 1 – Customer Operations Specialist (Remote, Contract)
Location: Fully Remote
Duration: 6+ Month Contract
What You’ll Do
- Complaint Routing: Execute routing models across TD, Loyalty, Care, and stores using established SOPs and decision maps.
- Customer Experience Handoffs: Support and maintain interaction models for VIP, high‑spend, and high‑touch customers.
- Escalation Management: Handle executive‑level escalations with timely communication and thorough follow‑through.
- Feedback Loop: Partner with stores on sensitive issues such as UDAAP, unsolicited accounts, and discrimination complaints.
- Process Documentation: Clarify workflows and refine customer experience operations during the post‑conversion period.
What We’re Looking For
- Escalation Experience: Proven ability to manage complex customer issues and high‑stakes service scenarios.
- Communication Skills: Polished written and verbal communication aligned with Nordstrom’s brand tone.
- Judgment & Ambiguity: Ability to make sound decisions without heavy oversight.
- Cross‑Team Connector: Comfortable collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Operational Discipline: Skilled at following SOPs, documenting work, and escalating when appropriate.
- Professional Maturity: Confident interacting with store leaders and TD partners.
- Experience: 3+ years in customer operations, escalations, or service management.
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Financial Services: Background in credit card operations or loyalty programs.
- Luxury Retail: Experience in luxury retail or hospitality.
- Data & KPIs: Comfort with data pulls, KPI monitoring, and trend summarization.
- Contractor Experience: Prior success in fast ramp‑up contract roles.
