Technology Business Systems Consultant (Business Analyst)

Location: Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX

About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and collaborative Business Analyst / Technology Business Systems Consultant to support large-scale, enterprise technology initiatives within the COO Technology organization.

In this role, you will partner closely with business and technology teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and help deliver scalable, compliant technology solutions. You will play a key role across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from discovery through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and requirements gathering for complex, enterprise-level initiatives.
• Translate business needs into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with engineering and architecture teams to define solutions, integrations, and data flows.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions to align stakeholders and resolve ambiguity.
• Manage and maintain a high-quality product backlog, ensuring readiness for development.
• Support testing and release activities, including UAT planning, defect triage, and validation.
• Analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with risk, audit, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Track project timelines and support delivery coordination in Agile environments.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, demos, and feedback sessions with stakeholders.
• Contribute to documentation, training, and change management efforts.
• Use tools (including GenAI where appropriate) to improve documentation and analysis efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis or Technology Business Systems Consulting.
• 5+ years of experience working across the SDLC, including requirements documentation and testing support.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintaining traceability.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting system integrations, APIs, or data platforms.
• Background in UAT testing, defect tracking, and release coordination.
• Exposure to COO, operations, or shared services environments.
• Familiarity with risk, controls, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with process mapping and process improvement.
• Working knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and data validation.
• Exposure to cloud platforms or modern technology ecosystems.
• Experience with SQL or Python (nice to have).
• Prior experience as a Scrum Master (nice to have).
• Experience using automation or AI tools to support analysis or documentation.
• Financial services industry experience is a plus.
