Talent Acquisition Specialist

Overview

This role provides functional support across the organization’s talent acquisition strategy, delivering full lifecycle recruiting from job development through pre-hire activities. The Talent Acquisition Specialist partners closely with hiring managers and senior leaders to ensure an efficient, effective hiring process that identifies and secures top talent aligned with business goals. This position also serves as a key contributor to recruiting standards, consistency, and best practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national regulations related to recruitment for both temporary and full-time positions.
  • Manage the full lifecycle recruiting process for assigned roles and locations, including strategy development, execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Source, screen, interview, and recommend qualified candidates for a wide range of roles (entry-level through management, technical, and professional).
  • Develop and refine job descriptions and postings in partnership with hiring managers and HR.
  • Lead intake meetings with hiring managers to define role requirements, success criteria, and sourcing strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to anticipate current and future staffing needs.
  • Utilize diverse sourcing strategies (job boards, social media, networking, referrals, events) to attract active and passive candidates.
  • Coordinate and facilitate interview processes, including scheduling, candidate communication, and feedback management.
  • Guide candidates and hiring managers through the hiring process, providing interview coaching, process transparency, and consistent communication.
  • Prepare offer packages, including compensation analysis and offer letters, ensuring alignment with internal guidelines.
  • Support onboarding activities, including pre-employment screening, orientation coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting data and reporting; provide regular status updates and insights on hiring progress.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including equal employment opportunity and affirmative action requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external recruiting vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure cost efficiency and quality.
  • Participate in campus recruiting, job fairs, and industry networking events as needed to support hiring initiatives.
  • Continuously evaluate recruiting tools, processes, and market trends to recommend improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of full lifecycle recruiting experience in a corporate or agency setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for technical, engineering, environmental, safety, or other specialized roles.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific hiring practices (where applicable).
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Understanding of EEO, affirmative action, and federal contractor compliance requirements.

  • Ability to develop compelling job advertisements and effectively market opportunities.
  • Creative sourcing techniques and ability to identify hard-to-find talent.
  • Proficiency with recruiting technologies, job boards, and social media platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, data analysis functions).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
