Role Summary

Client is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Coordinator I to support procurement execution, supply chain analytics, and purchase order management across multiple distribution centers. This role operates in a fast-paced supply chain environment with a strong focus on data-driven decision support, system execution, and cross-functional coordination.

While titled “strategic sourcing,” this role is primarily operational procurement + supply chain analytics + PO execution, with limited strategic sourcing ownership.

Core Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and process purchase orders (POs) for manufacturers across 3 wholesale distribution centers
• Support supply chain reporting and data analytics (Excel-heavy)
• Work within a new system (Himpact – grocery-focused platform) and legacy tools
• Assist with cost discussions / light negotiation support
• Track and maintain supply chain and procurement data accuracy
• Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers
• Support workflow execution across procurement and distribution operations
• Ensure timely follow-up on procurement actions and vendor communications

Systems & Technical Requirements

Must be comfortable learning:

• Himpact (new internal grocery supply chain system)

• SAP / Ariba / Coupa / similar ERP systems
• Demand planning or inventory management systems
• Advanced Excel (must be strong)

Must-Have Skills (Top 3)

1. Advanced Excel proficiency
• Reporting, pivot tables, data manipulation, analytics
2. Fast system learner
• Ability to quickly adapt to complex or “clunky” procurement systems
3. Supply chain + PO execution experience
• Understanding of procurement workflows, distribution, and SKU-based environments
