This job will have the following responsibilities:

Job Description:

The Claims Capability Manager translates business strategy into clear, measurable capabilities and is accountable for end‑to‑end capability delivery. This role ensures successful outcomes by managing delivery, risk, regulatory compliance, and operational impact from initiation through post‑delivery warranty.

The role is responsible for developing capabilities that meet defined business requirements, enhancing systems and applications, and ensuring effective implementation. This includes gathering business requirements, converting them into actionable capabilities, and collaborating closely with Business stakeholders, IT Architects, Product Owners, and Agile (Scrum) delivery teams.

  • Align capability delivery with organisational strategy and goals
  • Advance business outcomes through effective capability development and adoption
  • Primary Responsibilities
  • Capability Strategy & Planning
  • Support capability vision, strategy, prioritisation, and roadmap development
  • Engage enterprise‑wide stakeholders to ensure awareness, alignment, and buy‑in
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant business and product strategies
  • Requirements & Delivery Management
  • Define capabilities clearly and formally accept functionality reviews
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business requirements
  • Enable effective prioritisation, development, delivery, and adoption using defined development processes
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Development teams to implement changes
  • Governance, Risk & Reporting
  • Monitor and report capability health accurately and in a timely manner
  • Identify, mitigate, manage, and resolve risks and issues related to capability delivery
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, operational, and quality standards
  • Support initiative issue resolution and annual provider re‑qualification activities
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the capability champion and subject‑matter expert
  • Represent business needs credibly with both business and technology stakeholders
  • Communicate complex topics effectively to diverse audiences
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Intermediate or higher proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
  • 3+ years of experience in capability management, project management, business analysis, or product management
  • Proven success managing one or more large initiatives across multiple business areas or systems
  • 2+ years of experience facilitating workgroups
  • Experience with process improvement, workflow analysis, benchmarking, or business process evaluation
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse, document, and translate business requirements
  • Experience working directly with senior‑level business stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of delivering projects in a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience within the healthcare industry
  • Prior experience using Rally for Agile development planning
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in claims management
  • Knowledge of claims adjudication platforms (e.g. medical claims systems)
  • Experience with claim attachment or medical record capabilities that improve operational quality and reduce provider administrative effort
  • Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies
  • Familiarity with roadmap and delivery tools
  • Experience with development tools, task plans, milestone tracking, and status reporting
  • Strong networking, collaboration, and consensus‑building skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences
