Our client is currently seeking an Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer
Location: Austin, TX (Preferred) or Fully Remote
Duration: 6-months with possibility of extension

About the job

Our client reporting technology team has an opportunity for an experienced Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer to accelerate the modernization of our regulatory client forms. In this role, you will focus on building Adaptive Web Form content while collaborating with the engineering team to improve the overall delivery pipeline. We are looking for a forward-thinking developer who actively uses AI coding assistants to maximize efficiency, streamline workflows, and ensure rapid project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Build Adaptive Web Form content within the AEM forms tool using core components in a headless setup
  • Collaborate with the existing engineering team to enhance the delivery pipeline as needed
  • Leverage AI technologies and GenAI coding assistants to accelerate software delivery and streamline day-to-day workflows
  • Handle the end-to-end form lifecycle, including UI, submission, backend processing, and Document of Record (DOR)
  • Establish team-level practices for effective AI-assisted development and agentic workflows

Minimum qualifications

  • 6 to 10 years of experience working with the on-premise version of the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) toolset
  • Experience with AEM forms and building Adaptive Web Forms
  • Proficiency using rule editors, theme editor, Form Data Model (FDM), and writing custom JavaScript functions
  • Experience utilizing core AEM concepts to build and define APIs for form submissions
  • Professional-level front-end skills including HTML, JSP, and NPM webpack builds
  • Knowledge of code upgrades and promotion, including core component upgrades and deployments via package manager
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to SAML and OSGi bundles
  • Experience using AEM Dispatcher in a forms environment
  • Hands-on experience with GenAI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code for implementation, refactoring, unit testing, and code reviews
  • Working knowledge of agentic workflows, spec-driven development, custom instructions, and prompt engineering
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, or GitHub

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with automated testing of Adaptive forms
  • Background in headless content delivery
  • Sophisticated front-end coding capabilities using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Backbone, or ReactJS
  • Experience working with web servers such as JBoss, WebLogic, IIS, or Apache
  • Knowledge of modern Web Content Management Systems
