Position: Embedded Software Engineer – Missile Systems
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
About the Role
We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver embedded software solutions supporting advanced missile subsystem programs. In this role, you will contribute across the full software development lifecycle—from requirements analysis and architecture design to implementation, integration, and support of flight test activities.
You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure reliable, high‑performance embedded software that meets system and program objectives.
Responsibilities
· Analyze system and software requirements and translate them into effective embedded software solutions
· Design software architecture and detailed designs for embedded systems
· Develop, implement, and maintain embedded software using modern C++
· Deploy, debug, and integrate embedded software on target hardware platforms
· Support system integration, verification, and flight test readiness activities
· Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams, including hardware, systems, and test engineers
· Communicate technical concepts, design decisions, and progress clearly to stakeholders and leadership
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
· Professional experience in software engineering and embedded software development
· Proficiency in C++ programming
· Experience working with Embedded Linux environments
· Hands‑on experience deploying, debugging, and integrating embedded software on hardware platforms
· Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret program needs and formulate practical solutions
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working on multi‑disciplinary engineering teams
· Experience designing or supporting ground system embedded software
· Familiarity with GitLab or similar version control and CI/CD tools
· Experience with software integration, verification, and validation activities
