My client is looking for a Drafter III to produce accurate fabrication and erection drawings for metal building projects. This role focuses on preparing clear, complete documentation, handling moderately to highly complex orders, and supporting drafting standards across the team. The Drafter III also mentors junior drafters by answering questions, reviewing work, and ensuring compliance with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create accurate erection and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD, MBS, IFS, and related tools

  • Maintain strong knowledge of company products, drafting standards, and processes

  • Communicate effectively with project management, engineering, and drafting teams

  • Track project hours and report schedule updates or delays

  • Review and provide feedback on work prepared by junior drafters

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in specific drafting processes or applications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Post‑secondary coursework in trigonometry

Qualifications

  • Strong math and drafting skills

  • 6–10 years of experience in the metal building industry

  • Ability to mentor others and ensure drafting accuracy
