Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Developer/Programmer Analyst 3 to serve as a specialized Atlassian Guard Administrator. This is a contract-based role focused on the remediation of security, access, and governance configurations within a complex Atlassian ecosystem.
The successful candidate will collaborate with Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) and DevOps leadership to ensure that security settings align with strict organizational standards, access policies, and operational requirements. This role operates under the strategic direction of the DevOps team to ensure execution control and policy alignment.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration: Configure and administer Atlassian Guard to meet security, access control, and compliance benchmarks.
Access Management: Review, remediate, and maintain user access, roles, and permissions across all Atlassian tools.
Governance Support: Partner with ITSM teams to ensure configurations adhere to approved internal governance and risk policies.
Security Remediation: Proactively identify and resolve security gaps, misconfigurations, and unauthorized access risks.
Process Optimization: Execute role cleanup, access standardization, and entitlement corrections.
Reporting & Documentation: Provide detailed technical documentation and frequent status updates regarding system configurations and remediation efforts.
Compliance: Adhere strictly to institutional security policies and established ITSM processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience & Technical Skills
8 Years: Experience administering the Atlassian suite, including Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Atlassian Admin.
6 Years: Hands-on experience specifically within Atlassian Guard administration.
6 Years: Proven track record managing user access, roles, permissions, and identity integrations.
6 Years: Professional experience supporting governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) requirements.
6 Years: Background working alongside ITSM teams and managing access control workflows.
5 Years: Advanced troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
4 Years: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and reporting.
