What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred).
- Deep functional expertise in merchandising strategy, pricing, assortment, space planning, and vendor management.
- Proven experience redesigning merchandising processes and operating models, including exposure to change management.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and executive communication skills.
- Deep grocery merchandising experience required; experience in general merchandise and discretionary categories is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with merchandise financial planning and AI‑enabled merchandising solutions preferred.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Experience
- 15+ years in retail, with significant experience in merchandising strategy, operations, and transformation (in‑house retail experience strongly preferred; consulting experience valued).
- Hands‑on leadership of key merchandising levers such as assortment planning, pricing, allocation, vendor management, and category strategy.
- Demonstrated success leading transformation or large‑scale change initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Experience building and leading high‑performing teams.
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership, budgeting, and forecasting.
