Job Title: Accountant

Duration: 1+ year (Possible Extension)

Schedule: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days onsite)

Job Description:

Seeking an Accountant II to join the Accounting Services team. This role supports critical accounting operations and financial close processes across the organization while ensuring compliance with GAAP, CAS, and FAS standards. You will work cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders and contribute to meaningful, high‑impact work supporting national defense and innovation.

Required Experience:

Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, intercompany, and international transactions

Perform account reconciliations using Blackline and resolve discrepancies

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

Review trial balances and load GL and supporting schedules into financial reporting systems

Reconcile general ledger data to reporting systems and resolve variances

Serve as primary accounting point of contact for assigned entities or processes

Respond to audit requests and ad‑hoc accounting inquiries

Support and coordinate special accounting and finance projects

Develop and deliver presentations as needed

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of accounting or finance experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4
• Strong Excel skills (data analysis, macros, reporting)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work onsite minimum two days per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4 and/or Deltek Costpoint
• Hands‑on experience with Blackline
• CPA certification
• Big 4 public accounting experience
